Basketball Game Preview: Huron Chiefs vs. Grosse Ile Red Devils

The Huron Chiefs will take on the Grosse Ile Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Huron will be strutting in after a win while Grosse Ile will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Huron turned things around against Milan on Thursday. They took down the Big Reds 50-33. Given the Chiefs' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Big Reds are ranked 485th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Grosse Ile was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 36-32 to St. Mary Catholic Central.

Grosse Ile's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Huron, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Huron took their win against Grosse Ile in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 55-31. Does Huron have another victory up their sleeve, or will Grosse Ile turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
