Football Recap: Munford Lions vs. Saint James Trojans
If Munford was feeling good fresh off their 50-17 takedown of Cleburne County last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Munford Lions took a hard 42-24 fall against the Saint James Trojans on Friday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2014.
Chase Perry was a one-man wrecking crew for Saint James as he threw for 261 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt, and also punched in a rushing score.
Munford's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Saint James, their record now sits at 6-4.
Munford will square off against Alexandria at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Saint James, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against W.S. Neal at 7:00 p.m. on November 8th.
