Volleyball Recap: Mesa Ridge Falls Despite Big Games from Fabian Quintana and Jacob White

Mesa Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Grizzlies of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20, 25-13.

Mesa Ridge's loss came despite strong showings from Jacob White and Fabian Quintana. White had 19 digs, while Quintana had eight digs and two aces. That's the most aces Quintana has posted since back in April of 2024.

Mesa Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cheyenne Mountain, the win was the fourth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Mesa Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Rampart on the 6th. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Sand Creek on the 6th.
