Basketball Game Preview: Kasson-Mantorville Komets vs. Lourdes Eagles

Kasson-Mantorville and Lourdes are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Kasson-Mantorville Komets will be playing at home against the Lourdes Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Kasson-Mantorville was beaten by Byron 72-39. The Komets have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Lourdes can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 67-37 victory over Pine Island. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Lourdes' win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Kasson-Mantorville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9.

Kasson-Mantorville won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, slipping by Lourdes 51-50. Will Kasson-Mantorville repeat their success, or does Lourdes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
