            Softball Recap: Basic Wolves vs. Sierra Vista Mountain Lions        
        
		
        
        
            If Basic was feeling good  fresh off their  9-3 takedown of Spring Valley last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves took  a  6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions on Wednesday. The Wolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mountain Lions earlier this season, when they won  11-8.
 Basic saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Mia Frias, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double. Another  was  Isabella Christensen, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.
Basic's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Sierra Vista, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-6.
 Coming up, Basic will take on Liberty at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Sierra Vista, they will challenge Doral Academy Red Rock at 3:30  p.m.  on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Mountain Lions have won four straight at home dating back to last season, while the Dragons won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
