Basketball Recap: Bloomburg Takes a Loss

Bloomburg lost against Union Hill back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bloomburg Wildcats took a 50-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Union Hill Bulldogs. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

EJ Mowery was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 34 points and ten rebounds for Union Hill. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Mowery has scored at least a third of Union Hill's points. Another player making a difference was Micah Barlow, who posted five points.

Bloomburg's record now sits at 3-16. As for Union Hill, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Bloomburg Wildcats duke it out with the Saltillo Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Saltillo will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Bloomburg surely won't give up without a fight. As for Union Hill, they will welcome Avinger at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Union Hill is facing Avinger at the right time seeing as Avinger is stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
