Baseball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline lost against Woodinville back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Skyline came up short against Woodinville, falling 10-4. The Spartans' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Otis Fontonelle made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Luke Arneson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Skyline now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Woodinville, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Skyline is set to face off against their familiar foe Mount Si at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Woodinville will take on rival Issaquah at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
