Volleyball Recap: South Fulton Comes Up Short + How To Watch

South Fulton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Halls Tigers. Red Devils fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Tigers since Tuesday.

South Fulton took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-17, 19-25, 25-17, 15-6.

McKynlee Guthrie paced South Fulton's offense, picking up nine kills. Guthrie got some help from Samantha Auxier and her 18 assists. Gabi Long controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

South Fulton's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Halls, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. South Fulton is set to square off against their familiar foe Lake County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Halls will face off against rival Union City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
