Baseball Recap: McBain Comes Up Short

McBain has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They came up short against the Cadillac Vikings, falling 11-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Ramblers in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost four in a row.

McBain saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Schierbeek, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Daniel McEllhinney also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

McBain's loss dropped their record down to 5-2-1. As for Cadillac, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McBain will venture away from home to challenge Beal City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cadillac, they will head out to take on Traverse City Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
