Basketball Recap: Hoopeston Extends Winning Streak to Four

Hoopeston had won three straight games and Claire Dixon did her part to make it four on Tuesday. The Hoopeston Cornjerkers came out on top against the Clifton Central Comets by a score of 56-49 which was due in part to Dixon, who en route to 22 points and five steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Mady Klaber, who posted 11 points and six boards. Those six rebounds gave her a new career-high.

Hoopeston's victory bumped their record up to 20-10. As for Clifton Central, their loss dropped their record down to 20-11.

Hoopeston didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-35 defeat against Watseka/Milford on the 20th. Clifton Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
