Reading has gone 9-0-1 against Madeira recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Blue Devils will host the MUSTANGS/AMAZONS at 5:00 p.m. Reading is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.3 runs per game this season.

Reading was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Deer Park on Wednesday. The Blue Devils put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 18-4 win. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Kotah Brisbin made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Brisbin was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Lillie Riedmiller and Brooke Androne did most of the damage at the plate: Riedmiller got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Androne scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Sweeney, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Reading hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in seven consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Madeira came up short against Taylor on Wednesday, falling 13-1. The MUSTANGS/AMAZONS have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Madeira now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Reading, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Everything went Reading's way against Madeira when the teams last played back in April of 2023, as Reading made off with an 11-1 victory. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the MUSTANGS/AMAZONS have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
