Baseball Recap: Lawrenceburg Victorious

Lawrenceburg gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the South Dearborn Knights, sneaking past 5-3. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly two runs.

Brody Price looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has become a key player for Lawrenceburg: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-3 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Lawrenceburg's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Landon Cornett, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Kolton Chase also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

The win got Lawrenceburg back to even at 3-3. As for South Dearborn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Lawrenceburg has already played their next game, a 20-8 victory against Jac-Cen-Del on the 18th. As for South Dearborn, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Milan on the 19th.
