Basketball Recap: Mangum Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Mangum waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Mooreland Bearcats 60-45. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Bearcats are ranked 271st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mangum's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Mooreland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mangum won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Frederick at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Mooreland, they will take on Sharon-Mutual at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Bearcats will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.86 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
