Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson West Tigers vs. Perry-Lecompton Kaws

Jefferson West hasn't had much luck against Perry-Lecompton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Jefferson West Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Perry-Lecompton Kaws at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Jefferson West is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Oskaloosa 68-26 on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Tigers with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Perry-Lecompton earned a 58-45 victory over Valley Falls on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Kaws.

The win got Jefferson West back to even at 4-4-1. As for Perry-Lecompton, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6.

Jefferson West ended up a good deal behind Perry-Lecompton in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, losing 55-38. Can Jefferson West avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
