The Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs will square off against the Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Rumson-Fair Haven fell victim to Ocean Township and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 17-0 to the Spartans. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Point Pleasant Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Toms River South, falling 11-1. The contest marked the Garnet Gulls' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Sydney Zylinski was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases. That run marked the first that she scored this season.

Rumson-Fair Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Point Pleasant Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
