Soccer Game Preview: Clovis West vs. Riverdale

The Clovis West Golden Eagles and the Riverdale Cowboys will round out the year against one another at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Clovis West's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Clovis West is headed into Friday's match following a draw, the team's first since the 2nd. They and Reedley finished up their matchup with a 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Riverdale kept a clean sheet against Avenal on Monday. They blew past the Buccaneers 3-0. Given Riverdale's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Avenal are ranked 840th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clovis West's draw makes their record 4-2-2 this season. As for Riverdale, their win bumped their record up to 6-3-5.
