Basketball Recap: Fort White Extends Winning Streak to Four

Fort White waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They snuck past the Branford Buccaneers with a 42-37 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-53 back in December of 2024.

Fort White's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tafari Moe, who went 7 of 16 en route to 17 points and five boards. The contest was Moe's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Jayden Jackspn was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Fort White pushed their record up to 8-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Branford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Fort White will take on Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Fort White surely won't give up without a fight. As for Branford, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-49 defeat against Bishop Snyder on the 25th.
