Basketball Recap: Jacob Rodda's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ponderosa over Rocklin

Ponderosa made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Rocklin, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bruins fell just short of the Thunder by a score of 59-57 on Monday. The close contest was extra heartbreaking for the Bruins, who almost overcame a 20 point deficit.

Ponderosa lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jacob Rodda, who posted nine points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaksen Piazza, who had ten points and five rebounds.

Ponderosa's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Rocklin, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Ponderosa will take on Davis Sr. in a tournament on Thursday. As for Rocklin, they will take on River Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
