The Reavis Rams will square off against the Oldham County Colonels at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Reavis barely beat Hinsdale South the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Reavis beat Hinsdale South on Wednesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 18-3. Winning may never get old, but the Rams sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Jonathan Liesen, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Tino Villagomez, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Oldham County made easy work of Bullitt Central on Friday and carried off a 13-1 win. The Colonels haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Hayden Kiesewetter looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Daniel Stewart and Logan Edsell did most of the damage at the plate: Stewart went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs, while Edsell went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Edsell has become a key player for Oldham County: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Logan Slechter was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Oldham County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .577. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bullitt Central only posted an OBP of .333.

Reavis pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Oldham County, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
