Basketball Recap: Community Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Varsity Opponent on Friday, Community Christian came back down to earth. The Community Christian Eagles took a hard 70-55 fall against the Northside L Lions on Saturday.

When it comes to explaining why Community Christian lost, don't look at Luke Fagan. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 15 on his way to 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That's the most points Fagan has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Abel Parsley, who had 11 points and three steals.

Northside L was led to victory by BEN HEASTON and JEFFREY WHEELER. HEASTON dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards, while WHEELER went 7 for 9 to rack up 19 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was ISAAC ADCOCK, who put up six points in addition to six blocks and five assists.

Community Christian's record is now 12-6. As for Northside L, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-15 record this season.

We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. As for Northside L, they will take on Living Water Homeschool in a tournament on Monday.
