Baseball Recap: Lackawanna Trail Comes Up Short

Lackawanna Trail lost against Mountain View back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lions fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-1.

Lackawanna Trail got a good showing from Michael Palmer, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Lackawanna Trail saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tucker Kinney, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Lackawanna Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mountain View, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Mountain View will take on Elk Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Lackawanna Trail will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' match: after the Eagles faces off against Forest City, they'll take on Lackawanna Trail again at 4:30 p.m. on May 7.
