League recap: Sanchez's hitting boosts Soledad

Ivan Sanchez was on fire this week, as he led Mission Trail - Mission with a .714 average, one home run and six RBIs. Meanwhile, Soledad put together a 3-0 week.

After a week in which it went 2-0, Stevenson jumped from 470 to 407 in the national rankings, the biggest increase in the league.

The Aztecs's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only 12 hits and four walks, both of which led the league. On the season, Soledad has allowed just 135 hits, while striking out 145 batters. Adrian Banuelos leads Soledad with 63 strikeouts in 65 innings.

Pacific Grove's Wes Carswell led the league with nine hits this week. He is third in the league with 30 hits this year, and has a .417 batting average.
