Basketball Recap: Jayden Knox's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Houston over Greenwood

Houston lost against Greenwood last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The matchup between the Houston Hilltoppers and the Greenwood Bulldogs didn't end well, with the Houston Hilltoppers falling 44-29. The game marked the Hilltoppers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Houston's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Knox, who posted six points.

Houston has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-19 record this season. As for Greenwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season.

Houston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-47 loss against New Albany on the 11th. As for Greenwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-46 defeat against South Pontotoc on the 11th.
