Basketball Recap: Plainfield Skates Past Greensburg with Ease

Plainfield was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Greensburg on Friday. The Plainfield Quakers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Greensburg Pirates 66-35. The contest marked the Quakers' most dominant win of the season so far.

Leading Plainfield to victory were Harper Baker-Lands and Noah Smith. Baker-Lands went 7 for 8 on his way to 16 points, while Smith posted 11 points. Baker-Lands' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Colton East was another key player, going 5 of 7 on his way to 10 points and five rebounds.

Plainfield was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greensburg only racked up seven assists.

Greensburg lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jacoby Miller, who had eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Beaver, who put up eight points.

Plainfield is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Greensburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Plainfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 81-55 victory against New Haven on the 28th. As for Greensburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-45 win against Hanover Central on the 28th.
