Pieper lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Smithson Valley, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's contest. The Warriors' pitchers stepped up to hand the Rangers an 11-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Warriors have won six games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Pieper has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Smithson Valley, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-4.

Pieper will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rangers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
