Baseball Recap: West Lafayette Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Lafayette can now relate to. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Western Panthers on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Red Devils have lost by exactly four runs.

Korbyn Keen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on four hits and racked up six Ks.

This is the second loss in a row for West Lafayette and nudges their season record down to 11-13. As for Western, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

As of now, neither West Lafayette nor Western have any future games scheduled.
