Softball Recap: East Aurora Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for East Aurora, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Alden Bulldogs on Monday. Considering the Blue Devils have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Sage Rozanski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, East Aurora's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ava ?MJ? Improta, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Hannah Cieplinski was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

East Aurora's record is now 9-7. As for Alden, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 11-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Aurora will venture away from home to take on Tonawanda at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Alden, they will square off against Griffith Institute at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
