Wellston put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Meeker Bulldogs as the Wellston Tigers made off with a 46-25 victory. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 276th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wellston's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-0. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 17.5 points per game. As for Meeker, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Wellston Tigers challenge the Mulhall-Orlando Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Wellston's defense has only allowed 20.4 points per game this season, so Mulhall-Orlando's offense will have their work cut out for them.
