Recap: Natchez Bulldogs vs. Amite County Trojans
The Natchez Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Amite County Trojans with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Natchez simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Amite County 39-11 at home. Given Natchez's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Amite County is ranked 264th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Natchez's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was HOPE GUTTER, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of MADISON GROVER, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals.
Natchez is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2-1 record this season. As for Amite County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Natchez will face off against McComb at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Amite County, they will head out on the road to face off against North Pike at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
