Roland-Story came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Perry, but Owen Myers wouldn't allow it. The Perry Bluejays took down the Roland-Story Norsemen 63-49 on Friday thanks in part to Myers, who went 11 of 23 on his way to 31 points along with five boards and five steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Eric D Lagos, who posted nine points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

Perry's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Roland-Story, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Perry Bluejays challenge the Saydel Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Perry's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Roland-Story, they will venture away from home to square off against South Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Roland-Story is facing South Hamilton at the right time seeing as South Hamilton is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
