Basketball Recap: Cane Bay Comes Up Short

Cane Bay had lost eight straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 7-18 to make it nine. They were dealt a 63-14 defeat at the hands of the Wando Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Cobras can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Warriors are ranked 20th).

As for Wando, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That lines up perfectly with their 18-6 record this season. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Wando was led to victory by Makenna Reynolds and Bella Mckevitt. Reynolds posted 16 points, while Mckevitt put up 12 points along with six assists and three steals. Ava Rush was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to 13 boards and three blocks.

As of now, neither Cane Bay nor Wando have any future games scheduled.
