Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Vernon Scarlett stepped things up a notch to give McLaughlin the 'W'. Scarlett was dynamite, picking up 100 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 55 yards.

Coming up, Scarlett and McLaughlin will take on IMG Academy State at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Scarlett will face off against Max Jewett, the Ascenders' star pass catcher.
