Great Plains Lutheran waltzed into their game on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Aberdeen Christian Knights 54-8. With the Panthers ahead 41-5 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Great Plains Lutheran's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Katherine Prahl, who posted eight points in addition to eight steals and six rebounds. Prahl is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Abby Kjenstad, who scored 11 points and seven steals.

Great Plains Lutheran's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.0 points per game. As for Aberdeen Christian, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Coincidentally, Great Plains Lutheran and Aberdeen Christian will both be playing Wilmot the next time they take the court. Great Plains Lutheran will host Wilmot at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Aberdeen Christian will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
