Volleyball Recap: Fairview Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Kennedi Black and Layla Curtis

Fairview lost against Creek Wood last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Red Hawks, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Yellowjackets have suffered since September 17th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10, 25-21.

Fairview's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Layla Curtis, who had 11 digs, and Kennedi Black, who had 15 digs and five kills. Black is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 26 games she's played.

Fairview's defeat dropped their record down to 21-12. As for Creek Wood, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 30-9.

Fairview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Lexington on the 14th. As for Creek Wood, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Chester County on the 14th.
