Soccer Game Preview: King vs. Humble

The King Panthers will square off against the Humble Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. King's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

King fell victim to Summer Creek and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, King can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 527th, while Summer Creek are ranked 82nd).

Meanwhile, Humble also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 6-0 to Atascocita on Tuesday.

Humble's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 7-4-4. As for King, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

King was able to grind out a solid victory over Humble when the teams last played back in February of 2025, winning 2-0. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
