Basketball Recap: Westbrook Snags Tenth Victory in Last 11 Games

Westbrook extended their home winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Caleb Browne. The Westbrook Wildcats were the clear victor by a 62-41 margin over the Hermleigh Cardinals on Monday thanks in part to Browne, who went 7 for 11 to rack up 19 points and seven steals. He is becoming a predictor of Westbrook's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 11-2 (and 6-9 when he doesn't).

Another player making a difference was Grayson Jeffrey, who posted 14 points and three steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

Westbrook is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.5 points over those games. As for Hermleigh, their loss dropped their record down to 23-11.
