Basketball Game Preview: Ida Baker Bulldogs vs. Bonita Springs Bullsharks

Ida Baker is on a six-game streak of home losses, Bonita Springs a 24-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The two teams will face off at 7:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Thursday, Ida Baker was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-53 to Riverdale. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Raiders 19-10 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Bonita Springs came up short against LaBelle on Thursday and fell 74-65. While losing is never fun, the Bullsharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 791st, while the Cowboys/Cowgirls are ranked 359th).

Bonita Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Ida Baker, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.

Ida Baker didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Bonita Springs in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 56-52 victory.
