Southern Nash dropped to 6-4 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They took a 34-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northern Nash Knights. The Firebirds were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Several Firebirds players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Camron Lyons, who picked up 46 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 72 yards. Another back making a difference was Jaden Hartsfield, who rushed for 75 yards and one TD.

As for Northern Nash, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.8 points over those games.

Myles Eatmon had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 234 yards and four scores while picking up 12.3 yards per carry. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Southern Nash does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northern Nash, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Rocky Mount at 7:00 p.m. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Eatmon and Cquarhion Mitchell.
