Volleyball Recap: Kiera Burgess' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kearns over West + How To Watch

Kearns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the West Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

While Kearns ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20, 20-25, 25-22.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kiera Burgess, who had nine aces and three digs.

Kearns' loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for West, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Kearns didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Hillcrest on the 9th. As for West, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Hunter on the 9th.
