Baseball Recap: Miyamura Takes a Loss

Bloomfield hit Miyamura with a four-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Patriots fell 11-7 to the Bobcats. The Patriots have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Brady Antonio and Seth Torres stepped up to the plate in a big way. Antonio went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Torres went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Miyamura is 2-1 when Antonio posts two or more runs, but 9-11 otherwise.

Miyamura now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Bloomfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Miyamura wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 8-2 win against Gallup on the 26th. As for Bloomfield, they will face off against Aztec at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
