Recap: Woonsocket Villa Novans vs. North Kingstown Skippers
The Woonsocket Villa Novans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 55-41 to North Kingstown. Woonsocket was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Kingstown apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Woonsocket had strong showings from Juelz Stengel, who scored 13 points, and Jamaury Barr, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds. Barr is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight.
Woonsocket has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for North Kingstown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.
Woonsocket will head out on the road to square off against Mt. Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Woonsocket is coming into the game with six straight losses on the road, meaning Mt. Pleasant will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for North Kingstown, they will face off against Portsmouth at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
