Softball Recap: Hendrickson Comes Up Short

Hendrickson came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-1 to the Georgetown Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Hendrickson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Gonzales, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Hendrickson's loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1. As for Georgetown, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-8-1 record this season.

Hendrickson and Georgetown should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Hendrickson (ranked 320th) will meet Pflugerville (ranked 820th) at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Georgetown will challenge Weiss at 1:00 p.m. on Monday up 159 places (131 vs. 290).
