Softball Game Preview: Shiner Comanches vs. Weimar Wildcats

The Shiner Comanches will head out to square off against the Weimar Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Shiner's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last six games.

Weimar's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Shiner hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Comanches were the clear victors by a 19-0 margin over Schulenburg on Tuesday. The Comanches might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 19 matches by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Weimar's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Ganado by a score of 6-5.

Shiner is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.9 runs over those games. As for Weimar, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.

Shiner couldn't quite get it done against Weimar in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 8-5. Can the Comanches avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
