Basketball Game Preview: Sullivan County Griffins vs. Northwest Area Rangers

Sullivan County hasn't had much luck against Northwest Area recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Sullivan County Griffins will head out to face off against the Northwest Area Rangers at 12:30 p.m. After both made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.

Northwest Area will be up against a hot Sullivan County squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Sullivan County blew past Millville 56-36 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Northwest Area against Benton on Wednesday as the squad secured a 64-32 victory. The Rangers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Northwest Area pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Sullivan County, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

Sullivan County might still be hurting after the 59-38 loss they got from Northwest Area when the teams last played back in January. Can Sullivan County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
