Basketball Game Preview: Dollar Bay Bays vs. Wakefield Cardinals

Dollar Bay hasn't had much luck against Wakefield recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Dollar Bay Bays will welcome the Wakefield Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Dollar Bay got the win against Johnston by a conclusive 65-43. The Bays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 20 points or more this season.

Dollar Bay's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evelyn Moilanen, who went 13 for 23 on her way to 28 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Macy Jurgensen, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten steals.

Wakefield played in conference for the first time on Monday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They took down Chassell 47-31. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Dollar Bay's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Wakefield, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Dollar Bay lost to Wakefield at home by a decisive 57-41 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Dollar Bay avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
