Baseball Recap: Thomas Heyward Academy Rebels vs. Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Patrick Henry Academy, Thomas Heyward Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Thomas Heyward Academy also won the last time the pair played last Tuesday.

Colton Young and Mackie Bowers made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Young pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Bowers pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Young scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Bowers scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Thomas Heyward Academy let Drew Willis and Brodie Crider loose on the outfield. Bridges Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
