Basketball Recap: Moses Stiver and Makai Resseau Secure Win for Sound Christian

Sound Christian won the last time they faced Evergreen Lutheran and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Sound Christian Lions secured a 52-47 W over the Evergreen Lutheran Eagles. The 52-point effort marked the Lions' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Leading Sound Christian to victory were Makai Resseau and Moses Stiver. Resseau went 8 of 16 on his way to 21 points and three steals, while Stiver almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. The game was Resseau's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Conley Baker, who posted five points and five rebounds.

Sound Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Sound Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Evergreen Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Sound Christian will host North Beach at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Evergreen Lutheran, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Summit Atlas at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Summit Atlas has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
