Basketball Game Preview: West Carroll Thunder vs. Galena Pirates

West Carroll hasn't had much luck against Galena recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The West Carroll Thunder will head out on the road to square off against the Galena Pirates at 7:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

West Carroll is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Friday. They were beaten by River Ridge 66-38.

Meanwhile, Galena came up short against Warren on Friday and fell 61-53. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Galena's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for West Carroll, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-21.

West Carroll was taken down by Galena 74-31 when the teams last played back in January. Can West Carroll avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
