Basketball Game Preview: South Shore Vikings vs. Red Bank Catholic Caseys

The South Shore Vikings will head out to square off against the Red Bank Catholic Caseys at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, South Shore blew past Varsity Opponent, posting a 70-33 win. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Red Bank Catholic had already won six in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.2 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 61-37 margin over the Patriots.

South Shore pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.9 points per game. As for Red Bank Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
