After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sheridan, Edinburgh was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the South Decatur Cougars by a score of 66-55. This was a revenge game for the Lancers: when they faced off against the Cougars back in December of 2024, they had to take a 57-53 loss.

South Decatur lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Aidan Bryant, who went 7-for-13 to rack up 20 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Lucas Ballard, who went 6-for-13 on his way to 13 points and six rebounds.

Edinburgh's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for South Decatur, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Edinburgh didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-42 victory against Brown County on the 27th. As for South Decatur, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cougars face off against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
